A LARGE PAIR OF CHINESE FAMILLE ROSE VASES CANTON, MID-19TH CENTURY of baluster form, the waisted neck applied with a pair of shishi above a shoulder adorned with chilong dragons, enamelled with large reserves to either side, each depicting figures amidst a pink ground decorated with flowers and leafy scrolls. (2) 64cm high There is an area of restoration to the rim of one vase. The other vase has some abrasions to the underside side of the rim to the neck. Each vase has a star crack in the base.
